I am very excited to announce that I have been accepted and enrolled in the UNT Master of Fine Arts Program for documentary film production. This is a terminal, three-year program which will require me to produce and collaborate on three documentary films, including a master thesis film.
My documentary film, Blockadia Rising, was well-received by the UNT film department, and I owe a big “Thank You!” to everyone who made this film possible. As a documentary filmmaker, my most important audience, inspiration and source of criticism will be our community of resistance. For me, filmmaking is an act of solidarity.
The next three years of my life are going to be full 0f academic and creative challenges, but with an MFA degree I can pursue a professorship where I will continue to make films while teaching classes and contributing to the academic community.
